What it is
What is DTF Printing?
DTF (Direct-to-Film) is the workhorse print method we use for almost every order today. Your design is printed onto a special PET film with eco-solvent CMYK + white inks, dusted with hot-melt powder, cured under heat, and then heat-pressed onto the garment.
The result is a soft, flexible, photo-quality print that survives 50+ industrial washes without cracking, fading or peeling — and it works on cotton, polyester, blends, fleece, lycra, denim, even nylon. That makes DTF the most versatile method on our floor.
How it is done
The dtf printing process
- Design upload & colour-match. Your artwork goes through our colour-match pass under D65 lighting so on-fabric colour matches your reference.
- Film print + powder. CMYK + white inks are jet-printed on the PET film, then dusted with hot-melt adhesive powder.
- Curing oven. The film passes through a 110°C curing tunnel that bonds the powder.
- Heat press. Film is pressed onto the garment at 145°C for 12 seconds, then cold-peeled.
- Quality check. Every piece goes through stretch + rub testing post-print before it leaves the floor.
